Bryan Mendelson said it well: "Human beings are the only species on the planet whose age looks in the face." Treating the aging of the face is one of the great challenges of aesthetic surgery, and the volume replacement is a critical component in the treatment algorithm. Although the volume increase techniques are often performed, they are still relatively subjective and, often, are based on the "aesthetic eye" of the surgeon who injected. As anatomists and surgeons, we believe that a solid knowledge of the facial anatomy is fundamental so that the time to inject is accurate, safe and consistent when performing the increase in facial volume.

Although there have been several published works on the individual components of the face, there has not been an exhaustive synthesis of the specific facial anatomy for injection techniques. This book is designed to close the gap between the anatomy laboratory and its injection clinic. We intend to separate the clinically relevant anatomical details of the regions of the face that are frequently injected and guided the clinician in the safe performance of these procedures.
Chapter 1.- MediaFacial Zone
Chapter 2.- Anatomy of the lymphatics of the lower eyelid and the malar region of the face
Chapter 3.- Peribucal Area, Chin and Jowl
Chapter 4.- Sien and eyebrows
