The first conical beam computed tomograph was built at the May 1982 clinic. However, computers and detectors were not powerful enough for the CBCT to be practical. Just fifteen years ago CBCT machines have been able to build at reasonable costs and sizes.
Although technology offers us an impressive image quality to one gives its ease of use, we must not confuse information with education, it dates with knowledge.
