Whoever has the courage to write a book in a discipline as orthodontics deserves all our respect. But those who do it through the collaboration of several specialists in the field, deserve special recognition since they must maintain the concentration of collaborators aimed at a common task, and this requires a discipline and unusual super-vision. Thus the editors of these new publications have a spectacular success in this modality.

The author displays his knowledge and skills through several chapters where the most important tasks of modern diagnosis are emphasized in orthodontics, the treatment plan and hisrapeutics. Several years have passed to publish an understandable text of orthodontics written by a Mexican author and personally applauded this new contribution, since this alerts the rest of the Spanish speakers in the current diagnosis and the therapeutic skills of the Mexican orthodontists. I have always thought that behind a Mexican we will find an artist. The content of this book confirms this personal idea, even think it has been overcome. Readers should prepare to find an informative publication that they will enjoy while traveling through the text. Dr. Larry W. White.
